Vineyard Notes:
The 2007 Olsen Estates Syrah was a blend of four distinct vineyard sites. About 90% of the blend came from Ranch #14 and #20. Ranch #20 is our hottest site, which contributes to much of the concentrated dried fruit characters as well as tannin. Ranch #14, a little cooler site, balances tannins and adds fresh fruit and spice. The remaining two sites, #22 and #23 add to some of the higher floral, spice and coffee notes.
